How We Learn at Growing Up

Our time together, courtesy and play, create a sense of emotional warmth, order and independence quite early in toddlerhood.
There is no secret that emotional bond is the heart of the young child's healthy development, but did you know that there is something in children that responds to order!? It's almost like they have certain expectations...
Order is a sensitive period that naturally occurs in the first plane of development, specifically between ages 2-4. This sensitive period is characterized by a firm motive for consistency and repetition.

We hug each other often!
We respect, help and love each other and bring joy, humour and delight into our days. We learn through imitating, it's very important to express gratitude around children as they will naturally embrace it and hold on to it for life!

We love nature!
We celebrate all seasons, seek little nature corners, sing, dance and learn many verses, fingerplays, songs and poems, mostly nature related. We are inspired by beautifully illustrated books but also by modest storytelling.

We learn through discovery and wonder!
Our discovery tables resemble all the amazing things we touch and see outdoors during our nature walks, and natural elements are always present.

We love art and movement!
Artistic experiences are a unique element in the young child's development, from coloring and painting to music and movement, young children learn and flourish.

I feel that exposing young children to real tasks, sensorial and concrete learning and guiding them with respect and acceptance to choosing uninterrupted work cycles and free play whenever it feels most natural to them, enroots new aptitudes and at the same time helps the children make predictions about our daily rhythm.

I aim to follow the children’s pace and curiosity and encourage learning through creative play, experiences, art and discovery learning.
All these translate into joy and a healthy development, but are also prerequisites for language, practical life, matching, sorting, sequencing, fine & gross motor, reading, mathematics and cultural learning.​
…and these are all wonderful foundations for life!
